Lucidly is built on the belief that what you share while practising should stay private. This policy explains what data is collected, how it's used, and what control you have over it.
The following information is collected when you use Lucidly:
When you record a response, the audio is transcribed. The text transcript — not the audio file — is sent to Anthropic, Inc. (maker of Claude AI) to generate your personalised feedback. The original audio file is stored only so you can play it back and track your own progress.
What is sent to Anthropic: your spoken response as a text transcript only.
What is not sent: your name, email address, or the audio file itself.
Anthropic processes this data under their own Privacy Policy, which provides equivalent protections. They do not use API-submitted data to train their models by default.
You control how long recordings are kept — options range from 3 days to never deleting. This preference can be updated at any time under Settings → Preferences in the app.
By creating an account, you consent to this processing. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
No personal data is sold to third parties.
Account and progress data is retained for as long as your account is active. Audio recordings are deleted on the schedule you choose. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Lucidly is not intended for anyone under 13. If it comes to light that a user under 13 has created an account, that account and its data will be deleted promptly.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication is handled via Apple and Google. Reasonable precautions are in place, though no system is completely immune to risk.
This policy may be updated occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
